Salary: £10.62 per hour

Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre. We are seeking flexible, enthusiastic, versatile, dynamic and organised Seasonal Multi Activity Outdoor Adventure Instructors to compliment our full-time staff team for the 2019 season. It is anticipated there will be 35+ hours per week available during the peak season for suitably qualified applicants.

Exciting opportunities are now available at Haven Banks Outdoor Education in Exeter. In a pioneering and award winning partnership between Devon County Council and Exeter College, Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre provides a contemporary hub for outdoor activities for young people and adults from Exeter, Devon and across the region.

Successful applicants will hold a minimum of two National Governing Body leadership awards and be able to demonstrate previous experience leading, coaching and mentoring groups and individuals of all ages and abilities and from every background.

Activity leadership qualifications could include: paddle sports, sailing, rock climbing, climbing wall, caving, mountain biking or archery.

You must be able to work alone, as well as part of the team and have a passion for delivering outdoor and adventurous activity programs which will inspire and motivate participants, enabling them to get the very best results.

Priority will ultimately focus on safe practice, as well as learning, enjoyment, and achievement as part of structured practical programs of activity.

The post will include delivery to all users of the Centre involving: * Approximately 80% outdoor instructional delivery work and 20% centre based admin and preparation time * Residentials as well as evening and weekend sessions. * Working in all weathers conditions. * Constantly and continually managing different groups and group members.

Exeter College is an outstanding Tertiary College, which was subject to the first pilot "no notice" inspection in 2012 and achieved outstanding across the board. The college also has outstanding financial health and is continuing to invest in an ambitious property strategy.
