Rucksack overboard - recovered was created by Roger
On Tuesday 2nd June while sailing Alfie opposite Starcross. I capsized and saw my rucksack drift off towards Topsham (with an hour of incoming tide to go). The rucksack containing my old Dad’s binoculars, reading glasses, sun glasses, mobile phone, bank cards, cash, phone battery pack,  a book ‘on the beach’! Etc  The tiller went as well.........
Today 23rd, I received a message from a guy saying his son had just been snorkeling off Brixham and had found my rucksack.
Other members have told me of items overboard never to be seen again. Lesson learnt I won’t be taking so much kit and if I do it will be tied down!

Wow that's an amazing story, it reminds me of my grandfather loosing his wedding ring whilst swimming at Exmouth.  He told someone what had happened and was then approached by someone who had found a ring on the beach at Dawlish Warren. It was his and  he was delighted to get it back.
