simple question, when will the club compound be open again? Need to go and check on the boats ahead of the Easter series and take my trailer home for a new box to be made and fitted

Hi Ben. It is hoped that we can re-open the Club on March 29th, assuming there are no further Government or RYA restrictions put upon us. A  formal decision will be taken in the next day or so.
As has been mentioned previously, you may make an appointment to collect your property from the SYC site during the lockdown period. I should be there on Saturday 20th between 10.30 and 2pm. Best to call ahead to make sure.

Thanks for the offer Ian. Will need the trailer week of the 29th but not enough beforehand, to deem it an essential trip.

Are we allowed to change into wetsuits in the changing rooms?
I intend to cycle to the YC.

Sorry this is a bit of a pain, but our understanding of the current regulations is that we are only allowed to use the changing rooms for "emergency purposes".  The club has probably gone as far as it can in agreeing that getting out of cold, wet gear fits within this guideline.

Fortunately the restriction should only be in place for the next two weekends.  The next government milestone is April 12th and this appears to allow full use of changing rooms - but its still not clear whether we can use the showers.  The club will open up the changing rooms as soon as it is permitted.
