Training session March 9th at club house - weather allowing we will rig a boat and look at boat set up, using wind indicators, and boat trim.

We will also try to look at how to manoeuvre safely up and down wind and how to minimise risk in stronger winds.

Other topics will be safety equipment, the ever changing geography of the estuary, and the tidal flows.

The whole thing will start at 10:00 and finish by 12 noon with time for coffee and questions as we go.

The main club programme now incorporates all the Dinghy Cruising events.

Starcross Yacht Club was host to home and visiting Merlin Rocket sailors on the weekend of the 21/22 April, 2018 with a total of 26 boats entering. Mixed weather with light winds on Saturday and Sunday meant there was close racing throughout.

Thanks to all the members who worked behind the scenes to make this happen, and especially to the galley team for their excellent catering.

Results can be found here.

Our thanks to Garnett Showell for an excellent album of on-the-water photographs of this event.
